What would you do if your child was struggling with his school work and nothing seemed to be working? In the case of one California mother, you would start your own learning center. This is how the PRIDE Learning Center was born. Karina Richland, mother of 2, used her own struggles to start a center that employs the Orton-Gillingham methodology.

Many of you know that both my children are in Special Education. My son was diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD at age 5 and my daughter, who was born 2 months premature, was equally diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD at age 4.

Since the beginning of this project it has immensely in a short period of time. Something that started with 1 teacher has grown to 125 teachers working all over the state of California. Recently they also started a summer reading camp. Their first camp in 2015 was such a success that they will be having 14 camps in 2016. This is an innovative way to learn to read. Karina considers being the perfect reading program.
The success of PRIDE Learning Centers has been in large part due to our ability to attract and maintain a dedicated staff of qualified teachers and who are using what I consider, the perfect reading program.
