Wally Cox was an American comedian and actor best known for his role as the science teacher in Mr. Peepers, a television show from the 1950s, and as the voice of the popular cartoon character, Underdog. Despite being typecast as a meek and mild character, Cox himself was quite athletic.
Cox wasn’t pleased with being typecast as this type of character. Off screen, he even enjoyed a deep friendship with the super masculine cultural icon, Marlon Brando.
