The “flipped classroom” method of teaching is becoming quite popular, and is spreading throughout schools across the country. Many students and parents, however, don't understand what the flipped classroom actually is. It describes a reversal of traditional teaching, where students gain first-hand exposure to new material outside of class instead of their teacher explaining these concepts. Teachers will then go over the material learned independently the next class period to reinforce the concepts the students learned.
